  • Step 1 - Find a partner or get into groups.
  • Step 2 - Download the Red List Pack.
  • Step 3 - Get some sheets of paper with coloring pencils and glue.
  • Step 4 - You may need a computer to do some research.
  • Step 5 - Select an animal below to begin!

Choose an animal of your own or let us pick one for you.

Pin up the Red List pages and then begin the questions below.

Question 1

Click the "Pick Animal" button to select a random animal, or select an animal of your own. Can you draw the animal on paper and colour it in?

Question 2

Decide with your group whether your animal is safe, threatened, endangered, or extinct. Once you decide, stick your animal on the Red List.

Why did you decide to place the animal in that category?

Loss of habitat is one reason why animals become extinct, can you think of four more reasons?

Can you think of ways we could help protect threatened and endangered animals?
